Body of German-Israeli Woman Found in Gaza

Hamas Militant Killed

Shani Louk, 23, was abducted by Hamas militants in August. Her body was found in Rafah along with two other dead Israeli hostages.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the death of 23-year-old German-Israeli woman Shani Louk on Thursday. Louk was seen being taken to the Gaza Strip during a Hamas rally in August. Her body was found in Rafah along with two other dead Israeli hostages seven months after the kidnapping.

Louk, a tattoo artist, became a symbol of the music festival massacre by Hamas. She was one of four Israelis who were abducted by Hamas militants on August 19. The other three hostages were killed in a rescue attempt by Israeli forces in October.

Israeli authorities have said that Louk was abducted by Hamas militants who paraded her body through Gaza. A Hamas militant who paraded Louk's body through Gaza has been killed by the Israeli military.
